Check out Broil King’s recipe and expert advice for a flavorful cedar plank salmon with an Asian ginger marinade. Happy grilling!

Cedar Plank Salmon with Asian Ginger Marinade

From Broil King

Ingredients:
1 6-pound salmon fillet, skin-on

Asian Ginger Marinade:
1/4 cup white wine
1 orange, finely grated zest and juice
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp honey
1 tsp Asian chili sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 untreated cedar plank

Preparation:
Soak untreated cedar in a container of water for at least an hour.

Meanwhile, combine marinade ingredients in a large, flat shallow glass dish and marinate the salmon fillets in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Preheat grill on high for 10 minutes.

Pat dry plank and oil the upper side. Place plank directly on the grids and heat until plank begins to smoke. Place the salmon, skin side down, in the middle of the plank and grill until just opaque at the thickest part. A 6-pound fillet may take 30 minutes.

Broil King Expert Tips:

• Keep a water spray bottle nearby to extinguish any flaming on the plank.
• You can add any flavor you wish to a grilling plank by using different liquids, e.g. Ginger Ale, beer, sea salt, or lemon juice. Different liquids will produce different outcomes – don’t be afraid to experiment!
