If you’ll be entertaining this autumn, don’t forget to read our fall entertaining tips blog post for simple ways to spice up your next get-together.
Go apple picking to make a homemade apple pie for your guests
What better way to kick off fall than visiting a beautiful apple orchard? Pick some of your favorite apples to bring home to make homemade fall treats, like apple pie, for your next fall gathering.
Create a seasonal beverage, like mulled apple cider, in the slow cooker
While you’re at the apple orchard, buy some cider along with your apples. You can take it up a notch by using your slow cooker (try this Crock-Pot or this Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker) to make mulled apple cider, a fragrant, delicious drink! Follow this simple mulled cider recipe from marthastewart.com and serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks.
Collect colorful fall leaves for your table centerpiece
Unleash your inner child and collect colorful leaves once they start to fall. You can preserve them to use as decorations with this easy wax paper trick: Place dry leaves in between two pieces of wax paper, then put a rag or towel between them and your ironing board. Place another towel on top of the wax paper “sandwich,” and use your iron on high (no steam!) to seal the leaves in between the wax paper. Once you’ve run the iron over it a few times, let cool and then cut out the leaves, leaving a bit of wax paper trim around the edges of each leaf.
Host a football watch party for your favorite team
Big screen TV, football and friends – add a football watch party to your fall bucket list! Before your party, make sure you have the perfect television for watching the games. Your guests will be awed by the stunning picture quality of a 4K ultra HD TV – or, you could watch touchdowns up close on a 60-inch or larger television! No matter your viewing preference, check out our televisions deals to complete your football watch party.
