Recipe to Try: Fried Brie Cheese

Perfect for big and small groups alike, Fried Brie complements French bread perfectly for a heartier appetizer.
- 1/2 lb Brie cheese
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp water
- 11/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 loaf French bread, cubed
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Remove and discard paper and plastic wrapping from cheese. Coat all surfaces with flour. Beat eggs with water in a pie plate until foamy.
Dip cheese in egg mixture, then in bread crumbs, coating well.
Heat butter in a small skillet just until it foams.
Place cheese in pan. Cover and cook over low heat about 5 minutes or until golden brown on one side. Turn over and repeat. Remove from heat.
Make a cut in the cheese so it will run.
Serve at once while warm with bread that has been cut into small pieces.
