NFL Network Gives Homegaters Reason to Cheer
09 Sep, 2015
Next week, Thursday Night Football fans will have an additional reason to homegate during the work week as the NFL Network will begin airing an eight-episode documentary entitled “Football Town.” The docu-series should provide a great contrast to the extravagant nature of NFL games. Instead of focusing on professional players or teams, “Football Town” will examine how the sport of football shapes the tight-knit community of Barrow, Alaska and the Barrow High School Whalers.
According to Variety, intrigued viewers can get a glimpse at a “condensed version” of the first episode on September 15th by following the NFL and the NFL Network on Facebook.
Best of all, the show will debut on Thursday, September 17th immediately following the post-game show of Thursday Night Football which gives all of us homegating fans an extra excuse to stay up a little late and enjoy some great company with a new documentary series.
Following its premiere on September 17th, “Football Town” will air regularly on Tuesdays at 8:30 PM ET on NFL Network. Check out the trailer for the docu-series below and keep it in mind for your homegating party next week.
